The story
Chemise Lin 26
Linen is the obvious material for a late-September week in the gulf. It dries fast, it lets air through, it behaves well in salt and it stays bearable at twenty-four degrees.
It also creases, and there is nothing to be done about that. A freshly pressed linen shirt lasts an hour. This one is cut straight, with enough ease that the fold drops rather than sets, and the hem is rounded so it can be worn out.
The collar is a spread collar, open, meant to be worn without a tie. There is no chest pocket: the pennant embroidery takes that space. A blue-white-red tab is sewn into the hem on the left front.
